Young Life Capernaum Camp is an opportunity for our high school friends with disabilities to be treated like kings and queens; to be noticed, to be listened to, and to be celebrated. Capernaum Camp is a safe and fun environment in which we all have the opportunity to take risks, experience adventure, and grow in the area of being comfortable with being uncomfortable. This week is an incredible time for our friends with disabilities to experience the love of Jesus, and for Young Life staff, volunteer leaders, and other campers to embrace our friends as their own.
Campaigners and buddies spend the bulk of the day enjoying activities alongside their friends with disabilities. All campers attend Club, play games, enjoy free time and rides, and eat meals together. There is time set aside every evening for Campaigners and buddies to process their day and go deeper in Scripture. Many people say that serving at a week of Capernaum camp has been life changing and they can hardly wait for the opportunity to serve again.
